About Us
Tamara Neighbors-Simpson, Owner/Principal
A lifelong Connecticut resident, Tamara earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut. Tamara has over 25 years’ experience in the marketing communications and business finance industry.
In addition to her corporate background, Tamara has extensive experience working with not-for-profit organizations that focus on underrepresented and underserved populations.
Tamara has a passion for volunteering and is skilled at providing business consultant services for small to medium sized businesses throughout Connecticut. A Certified "Woman-Owned, Small/Minority Business Enterprise" within the State of Connecticut, Simpson Creative Concepts, LLC allows Tamara to combine her background in business management, finance and accounting, the knack for creative marketing communications, her experience as a paralegal and the love of event planning.
She has been licensed Notary Public in the State of Connecticut since 2005 and studied Spanish for 7 years. She is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, the American Association of Notaries and a licensed and registered Tax Preparer and a registered business entity with the US Government's System Award Management for Federal contracts and non-profit grants.
In the past she served as Chapter Administrator for the Southern CT Public Relations Society of America, Publicity Chair for the CT Walk for Food Allergy, as well as Board Treasurer, Chair and Vice Chair for numerous local non-profit organizations. Tamara brings a can-do attitude, a unique approach to problem solving, diverse marketing skills and solid financial business acumen to all her clients.
